ASA Holds Well-Attended Annual Business Meeting In Orlando

The Automotive Service Association is holding its annual business meeting and conference in Orlando, Florida, this week. The event includes speakers on many topics for improving business in the aftermarket sector.


The Automotive Service Association (ASA) is holding its annual business meeting and conference in Orlando, Florida this week. The event is taking place at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotel and Resort.

Along with the normal ASA business proceedings, attendees enjoyed the surroundings at the Swan resorts and the nearby Disney attractions.

During the board meeting, the group described efforts to protect the independent repairers in the collision and mechanical repair markets. Scanning, cyber security and technology issues such as ADAS and calibration were addressed.

The event includes speakers on many topics for improving business in the aftermarket sector. Bob Greenwood conducted a session on “Elevating Service Excellence,” while Maylan Newton provided insights on “Building Decision Makers.” Bill Haas spoke on “Strategies for Effective Leadership.” Well-known speaker Richard Flint addressed the group on “Six Steps to Embracing Change.”

The week also includes many networking events for the attendees, including cocktail receptions, the Celebration of Excellence and AMi graduation. The week will come to a close at the Dessert & IllumiNations Fireworks display at Epcot Center for ASA attendees and their families to enjoy.
