The Auto Care Association, in partnership with its Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) segment, has launched a new Auto Care Internship Scholarship fund. This program will provide financial support for students pursuing internships across the country to gain valuable, real-world education in a variety of auto care industry careers.
The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) has announced the first SEMA-produced television special premieres on the Velocity channel at 8 p.m. EDT on Sunday, March 8. The one-hour program features the first-ever SEMA Battle of the Builders competition highlighting the top 10 builders, their vehicles and their journey to the inaugural competition.
The Automotive Service Association (ASA) hosted a roundtable discussion on Friday, Feb. 6, concerning the impact of emerging technologies – including telematics – on all sectors of the automotive industry. Attending the meeting, held in Irving, Texas, were more than 60 individuals representing every segment of the automotive industry. Among the attendees were representatives of independent service and repair shops, parts manufacturers, parts distributors, information providers and original equipment manufacturers.
