ETI is surveying automotive repair facilities to learn what services are offered by shops and which of those services are performed by in-house technicians, outsourced technicians or sending the vehicle to a different shop. The institute also would like to learn which services customers ask for that are currently being turned down and why.

ettiiiiIn an effort to assist its members in bringing new and improved equipment and tools to the marketplace, the Equipment and Tool Institute (ETI) has launched a series of market research projects. The current survey covers repair services. ETI will use this research to help all segments of the automotive industry provide aftermarket shops with better equipment and solutions.

ETI is surveying automotive repair facilities to learn what services are offered by shops and which of those services are performed by in-house technicians, outsourced technicians or sending the vehicle to a different shop. The institute also would like to learn which services customers ask for that are currently being turned down and why.

There will be a presentation on the findings of ETI’s Market Research Study at ToolTech 2016 in Monterey, California, during the ETI Business Meeting on Monday, April 25.
