For the first time, AAPEX 2017 will offer daily keynote sessions with an expert lineup of speakers to keep attendees ahead of the curve on the future of the vehicle, buyer and shop.
Demonstrations in the Scan Tool Theatre will focus on tire pressure monitoring systems, electronic parking brakes, Tesla S battery modules, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) collision avoidance, battery technology, fuel injection and gasoline direct injection testing techniques.
These awards include Auto Care Woman of the Year, Auto Care Woman of Excellence and Female Shop Owner of the Year. All three awards will be presented by the Women in Auto Care executive committee during a press conference during the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX).
“AAPEX continuously evaluates show security measures to strengthen event participant safety. The associations and show managers are actively engaged this week with local officials, federal agencies and venue security professionals, seeking expert advice on AAPEX security,” said MEMA President Steve Handschuh.
Events will kick off Oct. 31 with the Import Vehicle Community Import Product and Marketing Awards presentation.
“Let’s Tech” returns to AAPEX with an all-new lineup of presentations delivered in 20 minutes or less to keep attendees ahead of the curve on the latest technology.
Three sessions along with reports on NASTF activity have been planned with a focus on the service repair technician.
AAPEX 2017 is introducing several new programs to show the impact of technology on the automotive aftermarket industry and how businesses can best prepare for the opportunities and challenges that lay ahead.
The Town Hall-style program will feature an industry panel that includes an automotive repair shop owner, an automotive technician and an industry trainer who will share their perspectives on the impact new technologies will have on the aftermarket.
The forum, which is part of the 2017 AAPEXedu program, will show attendees how to protect their businesses, customers, employees and life from cyber attacks.
The program will include the YANG Town Hall, titled, “Get in the Driver’s Seat: The 3 Keys to a Successful Auto Care Career,” featuring an executive panel from all channels of the auto care industry.
AAPEX has introduced its 2017 Mobile App that lets attendees register for the event, get the latest news, learn about new products and search for exhibitors by name, product and brand. AAPEX will take place Oct. 31 through Nov. 2 at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas.
