During his keynote address at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), Steve Forbes, chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media, connected with attendees as he spoke of a new business-friendly environment for the aftermarket due to recent election results. Forbes delivered his address to more than 1,200 attendees during the all-new, free AAPEX General Session on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at The Venetian, Palazzo Ballroom, in Las Vegas.

AAPEX is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 4 through Thursday, Nov. 6, at the Sands Expo Center, Las Vegas, Nev., with AAPEXedu sessions starting on Monday, Nov. 3.

The Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) 2014 Mobile App includes new content and many features to help attendees get ready for the event when on the go and easily navigate the show floor while at AAPEX. AAPEX is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 4 through Thursday, Nov. 6, at the Sands Expo Center, Las Vegas, Nev., with AAPEXedu sessions starting on Monday, Nov. 3.

The 2014 AAPEXedu program will offer nine sessions that will focus exclusively on the latest marketing, sales and branding strategies to address attendees’ pain points and help them grow their businesses. AAPEXedu sessions are free and start on Monday, Nov. 3, a day before the official start of the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX). AAPEX will take place Nov. 4-6 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
The Auto International Association (AIA), a segment of the Auto Care Association, will present its 26th annual AIA Import Product and Marketing Awards at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4 during AAPEX at the Sands Expo Center. The awards with three new categories recognize manufacturers and marketers for excellence in products, including tools and functional fluids, packaging, websites, catalogs and marketing/advertising programs for import cars or trucks.
The Automotive Communication Council (ACC) will host a panel discussion titled, “Pushing Your Message All the Way Up” as part of the AAPEXedu education program at AAPEX in Las Vegas. The session will be held from 2-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at the Venetian Hotel. The panel will address a longstanding concern of service professionals about confusing messages from manufacturers.
MAHLE Aftermarket, Service Solutions, formerly MAHLE RTI, has announced an agreement to sponsor the 2014 Service Professionals Program at the 2014 AAPEX Show in Las Vegas. The Service Professionals Program is a new customized program specifically designed to educate service and repair professionals and independent shop and store owners.
