The Auto Care Association, in partnership with its Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) segment, is now accepting applications for the 2016 Auto Care Internship Scholarship fund. This program will provide financial support for students pursuing internships across the country to gain valuable, real-world education in a variety of auto care industry careers.

The Auto Care Association applauds the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) approval of a final consent order against BMW’s MINI Division. The FTC claimed that MINI violated the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act by telling consumers that BMW would void their warranty unless they used MINI parts and MINI dealers to perform maintenance and repair work.

The Auto Care Association has announced the recipients of its 2015-’16 Head of the Class Award, honoring three auto care industry companies that continually invest in employee education and training. The award is administered by the Auto Care Association Education Committee on behalf of the association, and promotes the value and benefit that investment in education and training provides to employees and their companies, as well as the entire auto care industry.

Of the more than 840,000 automotive technicians working in the United States, 17 outstanding individuals have qualified for the prestigious 2015 World Class Technician Award. The Auto Care Association and National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) work together to recognize these professional technicians who have tested and obtained ASE certification in 22 specialty areas during the 2014 test administrated by ASE.
