Car Care Council Women’s Board

The Car Care Council Women’s Board has extended the deadline for the 2016 Automotive Communications Awards and the Women of the Year Awards, which include Auto Care Woman of the Year, Female Shop Owner of the Year and Auto Care Woman of Excellence. Award entries and nominations will be accepted through Sept. 9.

The conference is open to both male and female Women’s Board associates and non-associates who are looking to make a difference for women within the auto care industry. Registered attendees will also receive complimentary access to the MACS Trade Show.

The Car Care Council Women’s Board (WB) is now accepting nominees for the Women of the Year Awards, which include Auto Care Woman of the Year, Female Shop Owner of the Year and Auto Care Woman of Excellence.

The Car Care Council Women’s Board will hold its 2016 Summer Leadership Conference from July 27-28 in Indianapolis.

The Car Care Council Women’s Board (WB) has announced that Pamela Gatto, president of Gatto’s Tires & Auto Service, is the 2015 recipient of the Female Shop Owner of the Year award. Gatto will be presented with the award at the WB press conference and reception at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the Sands Expo, room 310, during AAPEX 2015 in Las Vegas.

A new book highlighting the success stories of some of today’s leading female aftermarket professionals will be unveiled next week at AAPEX. The book, “A Woman’s Perspective on Leading” is an essay anthology created by Dr. John A. Passante and features essays from more than 20 pioneering women in the automotive aftermarket.

The Car Care Council Women’s Board announces the recipients of its 2015 scholarships for high school and secondary students in the automotive aftermarket. This year, the Women’s Board gave a record $28,000 in scholarships.

Registration is now open for the Car Care Council Women’s Board 2015 Summer Leadership Conference. The day and a half education and networking conference will be held Aug. 13-14, 2015 at the Denver Hyatt in Denver, Colo.

Join the Car Care Council Women’s Board for two days at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Fla., Feb. 4-5, 2015. All associates and non-associates are invited. The early bird registration deadline has been extended until Jan. 12.

The Car Care Council Women’s Board will be holding its third annual silent auction during the 2015 Winter Leadership Conference, Feb. 4-5 at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Fla. All proceeds will benefit the Women’s Board scholarship fund.

The Auto Care Woman of the Year is chosen based on her significant leadership and contribution to the auto care community throughout her career. The Female Shop Owner of the Year is given to an outstanding woman who has a proven record of excellence in the automotive service industry.
