Created in 1969, the SEMA Hall of Fame is the most prestigious award presented to an individual by the association. It is designed to honor outstanding persons in the industry who have enhanced the stature of, or significantly contributed to, the industry and/or association’s growth.
The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund offers financial assistance of up to $5,000 to help foster the next generation of automotive aftermarket industry leaders and innovators. Students can apply for the scholarship at sema.org/scholarships. Deadline for the program is March 1, 2016.
Show organizers for the 2015 SEMA Show announced a number of updates to the show’s Mobile App, making it easier for attendees to navigate the four-day trade show, as well as obtain exhibitor and product information.

The U.S. Senate passed Senate Resolution 196 (S. On June 11, the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Board of Directors announced election results, with the addition of several new board members. Wade Kawasaki of the Coker Group has been elected as the chairman-elect and joins the association for the 2015-’17 term.
The 2015 SEMA Show will include a new expansion area to accommodate additional exhibitors during the SEMA Show, which takes place Nov. 3-6 in Las Vegas. Located in the outside area south of the Las Vegas Convention Center (adjacent to the Renaissance Hotel), this new First-Time and Featured Exhibitors area also will include a transportation hub and serve as a primary thoroughfare into the SEMA Show.
