This marks the first expansion outside of the United States for Take 5 Oil Change.

“Pro Oil Change, a retail franchise organization, started operations in 1996 and specializes in providing quick, professional, convenient and value-priced warranty-approved services for all makes and models of vehicles,” Take 5 Oil Change said in a news release. “Customers in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Ontario and Prince Edward Island can look forward to the same great service they’ve come to expect with Pro Oil Change, now with even more enhanced capabilities and legacy under the Take 5 Oil Change name.”

Take 5 Oil Change is part of Charlotte-based Driven Brands, which also is the parent company of Maaco, CARSTAR, ABRA and other brands.

“We are thrilled to announce our entrance into the Canadian market through the conversion of Pro Oil Change shops, and welcome our new franchisees to our growing Take 5 Oil Change family,” said Danny Rivera, executive vice president and group president, retail auto service, and president of Take 5 Oil Change. “We are committed to providing the best oil change experience in the market and look forward to ensuring our customers in Canada get just that.”

The conversion of Pro Oil Change shops is part of Take 5 Oil Change’s continued growth across North America through acquisitions, shop conversions and new franchise and company-owned store openings. Last month, Take 5 Oil Change celebrated its 500th store opening, in Covington, Louisiana.
