Tammy ‘Chaffee’ Tecklenburg Named New President Of Women In Auto Care

Tecklenburg previously served as member development committee chair and begins her three-year term overseeing the leadership conferences and growth of the newly rebranded group.

Women in Auto Care, formerly the Car Care Council Women’s Board (WB), announced Tammy “Chaffee” Tecklenburg as its new president during a press conference on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at The Venetian during AAPEX 2016. Tecklenburg previously served as member development committee chair and begins her three-year term overseeing the leadership conferences and growth of the newly rebranded group.

wiac-tammy-tecklenburg“I joined Women in Auto Care eight years ago to network and expand my outreach,” said Tecklenburg. “I raised my hand at every opportunity to take this organization to the next level. When I started in the aftermarket 20 years ago, there were no women in senior leadership positions at my company as role models. It hit me one day as I was cruising through my career that it was my responsibility to step up and support the next generation of leading ladies by being the person I needed when I was younger.”

Tecklenburg is vice president, global sales and marketing operations, Spectrum Brands – Global Auto Care. She has been a respected and exceptionally proactive member of Women in Auto Care, most notably through her creation and management of the group’s mentor program. Tecklenburg also was the recipient of the 2015 Auto Care Woman of the Year.

“I am so thrilled to pass the baton to Tammy,” said Amy Mattinat, outgoing president, Women in Auto Care. “I am confident Tammy will guide us to an unprecedented level and inspire us to reach for excellence in all that we do.”
